Fall in California is quite possibly my favorite time of year. The warm weather lasts long into October and even November, so the days grow shorter but the light turns this lovely shade of honey and makes everything warm and golden. Though the shift in seasons isn't as noticeable as other places, the feelings of autumn remain. Adding cinnamon to my morning cup of coffee, picking out seasonal flowers at the shop, and cooking cozy dishes for dinner all help me get into the season. I especially love pulling out my sweaters when I can, which brings me to today's post - easy layers to add a touch of autumn spirit in collaboration with Tobi!
This sunset colored wrap dress from Tobi was perfect for a recent weekend getaway to San Luis Obispo on California's central coast. It can be hard to find that perfect combo of breezy CA style (to compliment the warm weather) but something that still feels seasonally appropriate. I think I'll find myself reaching again and again for this easy piece - the color and comfort stand alone, or mix right in with a chunky knit and boots. Come with me to a few of my favorite spots in SLO below...you'll see how easily it can be worn from coffee in the morning, to walking in the afternoon, to the beach as the sun sets.
01 SCOUT COFFEE
Balmy afternoons mean temporarily ditching the sweater and strolling the streets, window shopping and getting some of that autumn sunshine.
03 AVILA BEACH
Sweater back on and traded my boots for sandals for an evening at the beach.
Wishing you all another lovely fall weekend! I'm headed to Palm Springs for the second time this year and will probably pack this dress again! xo, M
