Grapefruit Rosemary Gin & Tonics
Who's excited for this three day weekend?! Even though I literally just got back from vacation I can't help but smile about an extra day to kick back. My plans include sorting through and editing the massive amounts of photos I took in Paris, catching up with my husband and trying to find a local crepe place to cure my cravings.
Tonight we plan on kicking things off with a happy hour with friends! I've been loving making these grapefruit based gin & tonics, they're so refreshing and garnished with a sprig of rosemary they are perfect for the rapidly warming weather. Unfortunately R doesn't care for gin or herbs in general...so, more for me I guess.
This recipe is definitely not original, I've seen a lot of of grapefruit/herb drinks floating around but this is the tastiest I've been able to personally whip up at home. The key here is the elderflower tonic water. The KEY. So amazing! I found the Fever Tree brand at Safeway...bonus points because the bottles are tiny and darling (comes in a 4-pack). Gin is floral on its own anyways, so the elderflower infusion just kicks it up a notch. Finally, I'm a big fan of drinks that come out looking beautiful with minimal effort - here the garnish literally requires nothing fancy.
Cheers my friends! Do let me know if you try it, and if so, what you think!
